Lion door or main door

Constructing the main door according to the favourable condition is a more appropriate comparison to constructing it according to the zodiac sign of the master of a house because this construction (house) is present after his death too and other family members go on living inside it. Auspicious conditions (locations) of the door and their impact are as follow-

  • Having the main door in north, north-east, etc. direction has been considered as auspicious. It provides economic benefits.
  • Having the door in east, north-east, etc. direction is the sign of the increment of ken.
  • Having the door in the south, south-east, etc. direction provides normal benefits. If other doors would be constructed in the north-east direction, it is very useful.
  • Having this door in west or north-west direction has been known as the sign of success.
  • Location of this door in north or north-west direction is considered as inauspicious. It is responsible for mental instability.
  • Having the main door in east or south-east direction is responsible for the inauspicious result and negative impacts.
  • When this door is constructed in the south or south-west direction, family members have to face economic loss and women have to face bad health.
  • When this door is located in the west or south-west direction, the owner of such house gets the economic loss.

The number of doors

A number of doors must be equal (even), but not odd, for example- 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, etc. number ‘10’ is not considered as auspicious in respect of doors, because its last digit is zero. Well, it does not affect the owner of a house too much however avoiding this number is far better. The number of windows and ventilators should also be equal (even). The doors and windows should not be attached to the wall of a house; they should have separated about 3-4 inches from each other. The doors and windows of a room must be in the direction opposite to each other and they should be fitted in appropriate places. The doors and windows constructed opposite to each other must be equal in length.

Numbers of pillars and shatters– Pillars and shatters should also have equal (even) in numbers in a house. The pillars of the north-east corner should not be hexagonal, octagonal or multi-angular in shape. When pillars are kept as opened according to Vaastu Shastra, they should also be equal in number.

The number of trees – A park should be constructed outside the house having trees like- coconut, mango, etc. but keep it in the mind that their numbers would also have equal (even).

The main door– If a house has only one main door, the presence of it in north or east direction is known as auspicious according to Vaastu Shastra. This door should never be located in the centre, but be present in any appropriate place only. Having this door in south direction is not considered as inauspicious, so in this case, another door must be constructed in the east and north direction. Although having such a door in the west direction is not inauspicious, another door should be arranged in an east direction.

Two entrances (doors) – When one has to construct two doors in a house, their pair must be arranged in such a way that the main door would come in north direction and sub-door would come in east direction, the door in east and sub-door in north, the main door in south and sub-door in north, the door in south and sub-door in east, etc. but this pair should never have in following way-

According to the principles related to this fact, if the door’s interruption would not be located at a distance double of house’s height, it is not considered as door interruption.

Making a frame on all the four sides of a door is appropriate, because it gives not only strength to the door, but also does not allow small insects, worms, snakes, etc. to enter inside the house. The ancient principles (customs and religious activities) related to the door were popular due to their scientific usage. This fact can be observed easily. By applying turmeric powder, vermilion, etc. in the frame of doors, different types of disease generated bacteria have died and evil soul (spiritual powers) are gone away. Thus, constructing door frame on the door, the door of pooja room, on all the outer doors, etc. is appropriate. There is no side affect fall if the door frame would not be made on the doors of the study room, bedroom, kitchen, storeroom, etc.

One shutter should be kept instead of two shutters for doors. For proper durability and protection of all the outer doors, the opening of these doors outwards is considered as very auspicious. In respect of art and well-being, the main door of a house must be opened inwards, but not towards left and right.
