BSSC Commission work
The main function of the Bihar Staff Selection Commission is to issue information/superintendence of recruitments by various departments/districts of the government.
Pay Scale of Rs. 6,500-10,500 under Bihar Government Departments, Divisional and District level offices. For the selection of qualified candidates for recruitment (BSSC Job Notification) to all the general/provisional / non-official services/cadres/posts under class-3, the information/requisition for vacancies in the prescribed form of the Commission is sent to the Commission. The following things should be clearly stated in the superstructure –

- Requisitions for direct recruitment and limited competition examination should be different.
- The information of prescribed educational qualification, technical qualification, experience, selection basis, examination subject/syllabus for each cadre/service/post must be filled. If there is a BSSC Job Notification (www.bssc.bih.nic.in 2023), rule, or circular notified by the government concerned, then it must be attached to the superintendence.
- The cut-off date should also be described for the minimum age limit and maximum age limit.
- The superintendence should be sent by the appointing officer only.
- All entries in the application form must be properly filled.
BSSC Pay Scale:
Pay Scale of Rs. Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC), PO- Veterinary College, Patna was established for appointment to non-gazetted posts of class-3 below 6,500-10,500 / -. Our Services Selection Council was dissolved earlier and after the dissolution of the School Services Board, it was included in the Commission.
BSSC Commission Structure:
The posts of a chairman and two members have been created in BSSC in which officers of the rank of Secretary of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) are the chairpersons and non-officials of the cadre of various categories of class-1 with a pay scale of Rs. 14,000 / – nominated by the government as members is done.
The Commission consists of Secretary and Joint Secretary at the executive level (administrative level), who is a politician of Bihar Administrative Service. Courts are legal functionaries to handle cases that are posted by the govt.
