UPSC issued instructions for the candidates who are going for the Civil Services Examination

UPSC Notification 2020: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has not notified the instructions related to COVID-19 for the examination to be held on October 4. The UPSC has not issued any notification regarding the Civil Services Examination 2020 after 1 July.

UPSC Notification 2020: According to an information, it has been reported that the UPSC will allow only those candidates who test COVID-19 negative. If any candidate is found to be COVID-19 positive by fact check of the government, they will not be allowed for the examination.

Before the examination, the UPSC issued important instructions for all the candidates but the Commission has not released the UPSC Notification 2020 in view of COVID-19.

Last time UPSC had to postpone the exam due to COVID-19 epidemic, yet it has not made any announcement about how it will conduct the exam in October. Information about this too has not been given by the Commission yet.

It is reported that UPSC will issue the next admit card to inform the candidates about their examination center and other guidelines, which will be required during the examination. If new rules of COVID-19 are made, the candidates are expected to be informed through their admit card.

The civil services examination admit card is likely to be released in the second week of September 2020.

In view of the COVID-19 epidemic and lockdown, UPSC has already given permission to candidates to change their examination centers.

The UPSC re-opened the application withdrawal facility to give candidates another chance to withdraw their candidature, they are free to do so if they do not wish to appear in the examination this year.

For the information, let us know that the UPSC had also postponed the interview for the Civil Services Examination 2019. It resumed interviews in July and the final result was announced in August.

Some important guidelines that are followed during the examination are as follows-

  1. The candidate must also carry a photo ID card along with the Admit Card. Keep in mind that the photo ID mentioned in yours admit card will have to be taken with you in the examination hall.
  2. Candidates whose photographs are not clearly / visible in their e-Admit Card or their signature at their place, they will be required to carry two photos (one for each session). Such candidates should also have their own photo ID. After giving Undertaking, such candidates will be able to get entry in the examination hall.
  3. 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination i.e. the entrance door will be closed at 9:20 for the examination starting from 9.30 in the morning. At the same time the entrance gate will be closed at 2:20 pm for the examination starting from 2:30.
  4. The examinee should remember that apart from the examination center information given on his admission card, he cannot give examination at any other examination center. For the last time, there should be no disturbance in the examination center, for this, examine your center one day before examiner examinations.
  5. Candidates will not be allowed to use any electronic device. So do not go to the examination center with gadgets such as mobile, pager, pen drive, camera or Bluetooth etc.
